Wedding Trends: Wedding Party

We see some very unique and creative ideas at each wedding we host, but some of these have become trends worth sharing. We love when brides try new things to make their day special and we love how sometimes these things become new traditions or trends for other brides to use as well.

Here are a few trends we have seen lately when it comes to wedding parties. From the bridesmaid dresses and accessories, to the way wedding parties are standing (or sitting!) at the front of the chapel, we have seen some neat ideas take shape!

Dress style for each personality:
Something that we have found to be so unique and special is when bridesmaids wear the same color dress, but each have a different style of the dress. One might have a strapless sweetheart neckline, while another might have a one-shouldered top. We have seen skirts the same and top styles varying, or bodices the same and sashes varying. There are so many ways to tie in each lovely friend's personality.

Hand-crafted (with love) bouquet:
We have had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most creative and hands on brides. We have had so many talented ladies use silk flowers or other neat objects to create their own bouquets for their wedding party and for themselves. Some have used beads, brooches, ribbons, and so much more to bring to life some FABULOUS hand crafted bouquets that they carry down the isle.
Stunning and so impressive!

Look at the use of those feathers, brooches, crystals, and silk flowers!

Wedding party placement:
Another interesting trend that we have been learning about is how wedding parties are beginning to branch out in the way they are positioned at the front of the chapel for a wedding. Some wedding parties have stood as couples with every groomsmen standing with a bridesmaid and the couples would stand on either side of the bride and groom. Another thing we have seen is a wedding party that walked down the isle in the processional and then were seated in the first or second row and did not have to stand for the duration of the ceremony.

We are loving the new trends we are learning about and seeing take place at the chapel. Each new idea that we see always seems to reflect on the couple in some way and we so enjoy getting to know every couple better by the way they orchestrate their wedding.

We will keep you updated on any new wedding fads that come our way!

Caitlin and Justin

What an awesome couple! Caitlin and Justin were married January 21st at The Chapel and had a really fun reception at The Stables following the ceremony. During their whole wedding day we just noticed such a joyful presence from both Caitlin and Justin. They chose not to see each other before the wedding so interacting with each of them separately and seeing that similar joy was so encouraging. We are so glad they decided to have their special day here at Integrity Hills and we wish them all the best.

We were in love with the large square shape of their picture book guest book! Such a fun and modern way to remember your day in the years to come.

These magnificent floral arrangements that hung on each candelabra were beautiful and filled the whole chapel with such an amazing aroma.

We are such huge fans of their unity candle! The purple and white flowers went so well with the gorgeous silver and jeweled candle arrangement!

The beautiful bride takes a few bridal pictures with the wedding party before the ceremony.

These lovely bridesmaids looked divine in their purple dresses and we were so impressed that they were able to find shoes that matched PERFECTLY!  Great job ladies :)

Stunning bouquets for the wedding party.

Caitlin and her father making it to the end of the isle. Her song was perfectly planned to have the doors open at the sweetest moment.

Their pastor was fantastic! He preformed such a personal and inviting ceremony and highlighted Caitlin and Justin so well.

Look at those sweet, joyful faces! (and that awesome bouquet!)

 The newlyweds :)

What gentlemen to wait on the bustling bride! Don't they look sharp!?

The couple had a fun little add lib and gift on each plate in The Stables. We adored the centerpieces in those gorgeous bronze vases.

The happy couple.

Once again we are so thrilled for both of you and for the journey God has planned for you! Thanks for sharing your day with us! Congrats!

Aaron and Carolyn - January 8, 2012

What a fun and excited couple! They are truly a JOY to be around and made the entire day so much fun! We have to hand it to them too, they had one of the most uniquely decorated weddings we have had and it looked amazing! The theme was a travel and adventure theme and was carried out through EVERY detail. They even had a canoe inside The Stables to put the gifts in! We had so much fun celebrating with you Aaron and Carolyn and we are so excited for your newly created family!

They had the most gorgeous window displays in The Chapel! We just couldn't get enough!

Aaron and Carolyn lighting the unity candle together to symbolize two becoming one.

Such a sweet moment when Aaron and Carolyn had finished lighting the unity candle and were praying together.

We thought this photo was so funny and cute! They were so excited and moving so fast we couldn't keep up! haha :)

See what we mean!? It was so cool! We thought the sweetheart table decorated with hiking boots and a lantern was just such a neat touch. You can somewhat see the trunks and lanterns being set up on the fireplace as well!!

Carolyn and Aaron, we genuinely wish you both nothing but God's best. May you always keep him first and may He always bless your lives.
